שלום לקובנים!

כשאנייס ורדה הגיעה לקובה ב-1963, האי כולו רטט עדיין בחדוות המהפכה. ורדה, שהוקסמה מן האנשים, הנופים והחלום הסוציאליסטי, צילמה אלפי תמונות, בשחור-לבן, וערכה אותן לסרט המלווה במוזיקה – ובקריינות שלה ושל מישל פיקולי.

הפנתרים השחורים

מבעד לעיניה של אנייס ורדה, מחאת הפנתרים השחורים באוקלנד, קליפורניה ב-1968 נפרשת במלוא מורכבותה. ורדה, שבילתה חודשים ארוכים בחברת הפנתרים, מוסרת להם את המיקרופון והמצלמה, כדי שידברו על עוולות, גזענות ותביעה לשוויון, ממקור ראשון.
