The creators Neta Elkayam and Amit Hai Cohen, who have in recent years appeared on the biggest stages between Jerusalem and Morocco, visit the National Library of Israel for an intimate duo meeting, where they will share the experiences behind the film In Your Eyes, I See My Country, in which the Moroccan filmmaker Kamal Hachkar recorded their musical and personal journey in Morocco since their early days. They will perform intimate arrangements of pieces from recent projects, including: “Tehilla le-David, an electronic tribute to David Hassin”, “Abiadi, a tribute to Zohra Al Fassiya”, and “Arénas”, their current show, inspired by archival materials they found at the National Library.
Ariel comes back to the National Sound Archive to present the unique process of hand-cutting a one-off vinyl record. Many of the records in the Sound Archive were also cut using a special device, and they are exclusive testaments of rare music. We will listen to these records and create one in real time.
